Responsibilities
- Design and build systems and tools used across Jane Street.
- Develop software for trading desks, accounting, network monitoring, risk models, and foundational infrastructure.
- Use OCaml as the primary programming language and Python for research, trading, data analysis, visualization, and machine learning.
- Leverage, expand, and support open-source projects including Mercurial, the OCaml compiler, and OPAM.
Requirements
- Be a top-notch programmer with a love for technology.
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, collaboration, humility, and eagerness to learn.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Experience with functional programming, OCaml, Python, finance, or another specific field is not required.
