Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize high-performance network system architectures and security features for mission-critical applications.
- Partner with engineering architects, product managers, solution architects, and customers to understand use cases and review product requirements.
- Author design and functional specifications while driving unit testing and automation for product quality.
- Collaborate across teams to resolve system-level issues, optimize data-path performance, and develop new features.
- Apply advanced software design and troubleshooting expertise while coaching junior engineers and maintaining compliance with federal security certifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field and 9+ years of experience in high-performance networking systems engineering.
- Expertise in Linux kernel-based L2/L3 networking, stateful firewalls, NAT, network drivers, routing protocols, and networking and security protocols.
- Proficiency in Go and Python, including debugging complex data-path issues.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and scalable systems design skills.
- Demonstrated curiosity and practical use of AI tools to improve workflows and problem-solving.
- Preferred experience includes AI/ML frameworks or intelligent data-path analysis, WireGuard, GRE, L2VPN, VRRP, FIPS, FedRAMP, TLS, DTLS, QUIC, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, virtualization, and security solutions.
