Sr Site Reliability Engineer

- Drive strategies for 24x7 service availability and business continuity for healthcare applications and platforms hosted on Microsoft Azure.
- Administer Azure virtual machines, databases, networking components, and other cloud resources.
- Define and document operating procedures that maintain security, privacy, and compliance standards.
- Manage disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including process, planning, and execution.
- Define and refine operational SLAs and non-functional requirements.
- Establish infrastructure and application monitoring dashboards and automated notification workflows.
- Define KPIs and standardize reporting on SLAs, availability, capacity utilization, service metrics, and cost utilization.
- Collaborate with DevOps Engineers to automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
- Participate in a weekly on-call rotation covering after-hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Prior experience in Site Reliability Engineering managing cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
- Experience with 24x7 uptime, regulated environments, and product, platform, and systems planning and operations.
- Proven experience administering and operating Azure and using Azure monitoring services.
- Azure certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, are preferred.
- Working knowledge of cloud, encryption, IPsec, VLANs, VPNs, routing, WAFs/firewalls, proxy services, LAN/WAN connectivity, and advanced security and threat protection.
- Experience administering Windows and Linux environments and identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Proficiency with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell and Bash.
- Ability to lead documentation and operational reporting processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
