Base Salary

$200k - $300k/yr

Responsibilities

Build backend systems that ingest and process unstructured documents from customer ERPs and inboxes, including large-scale PDF pipelines.
Develop and ship LLM-powered agents that complete multi-page compliance and food safety documents.
Own features across backend services and frontend UI as a full-stack engineer.
Ship features quickly, gather direct user feedback, and iterate on the product.
Contribute to foundational technical and product decisions with the founders and founding team.

Demonstrated experience shipping products or major features used by real customers.
Ability to take features from backend services through polished UI without requiring specialist support.
Production experience building and shipping LLM-powered features or autonomous agents.
Strong backend fundamentals, including processing messy real-world data and designing relational schemas.
Experience integrating multiple model providers such as Gemini, Anthropic, and OpenAI into production systems.
Experience with Kotlin and Spring Boot, or transferable experience with another JVM language; React, Next.js, Postgres, and GCP.
Document processing, PDF parsing, or unstructured data extraction experience is preferred.
Early-stage startup or founding engineer experience, or a strong record of independently building products.
No formal degree or years-of-experience requirement; evaluation is based on shipped work and technical judgment.

Fully on-site in San Francisco five days per week; candidates must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate.
