Responsibilities
- Deliver reliable, performant features and bug fixes for local AI assistant products.
- Design and develop reusable tools and modules that enable new AI capabilities across different model types and sizes.
- Build and maintain agent harnesses involving tool calling, agent loops, context management, and structured outputs.
- Create evaluation and test infrastructure for non-deterministic AI systems.
- Implement peer-to-peer technology for local AI and design for network partitions, model errors, timeouts, and retries.
- Maintain code quality through coding standards, code reviews, automated testing, and debugging.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building production software, with deep experience in P2P systems, AI/LLM tooling, or both.
- Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills, including modeling complex state across synchronization protocols and agent loops.
- Hands-on experience building AI agent harnesses and evaluation infrastructure.
- Experience creating and managing reusable npm modules.
- Strong testing and debugging skills and experience building modular, maintainable code.
- Deep interest or experience in P2P technologies or distributed systems.
- Open-source contributions to P2P, networking, or AI tooling projects.
- Ability to work effectively and communicate in a remote, globally distributed team.
