Base Salary
$180k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement perception systems and solve new perception tasks using existing model heads.
- Define data strategies for new deployments, including collection volumes, labeling methods, and production-readiness requirements.
- Make build-versus-reuse decisions for new product lines, including output types, KPIs, and collaboration with the core perception team.
- Triage and resolve field model and system issues involving timestamps, data quality, calibration, and related problems.
- Collaborate with autonomy platform, customer engineering, and business development teams while standing up new product lines.
Requirements
- Strong systems-level understanding of perception, ideally including planning and controls.
- Experience diagnosing real-world model failures in deployed systems and driving them to resolution.
- Ability to translate ambiguous, evolving customer requirements into technical specifications.
- Product-owner mindset focused on customer success and end-to-end problem ownership.
- Familiarity with PyTorch, ONNX, TensorRT, Docker, Python, and some C++.
- Experience with internal ML pipeline or orchestration tooling such as Flyte is preferred.
- Experience with offroad autonomy is preferred.
