Responsibilities
- Design and implement full-stack features across the B2B platform in the JavaScript/Java stack.
- Drive convergence of multiple legacy platforms into the core CookUnity codebase and make architectural decisions.
- Automate and simplify workflows including smart fridge inventory management and healthcare meal delivery.
- Maintain and scale AWS infrastructure for rapid growth.
- Ensure the platform is scalable, reliable, and efficient across B2B verticals.
- Identify and address technical debt and performance bottlenecks.
- Improve user experience, performance, reliability, and uptime through ongoing feature iteration and on-call rotations.
- Lead and participate in code reviews, mentor engineers, and raise the technical bar.
- Resolve technical issues end-to-end and remove engineering roadblocks as a hands-on coder.
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, CX, design, and other teams.
- Contribute to documentation, deployment processes, architecture practices, and continuous improvement.
- Use AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Codex for development, reviews, debugging, test generation, documentation, and internal tooling.
Requirements
- Design and build cloud-native backend services, APIs, and full-stack web applications.
- Strong proficiency with NodeJS/NestJS, ReactJS, AWS, and MySQL or equivalent relational databases.
- Production experience with Java.
- Understanding of distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, and API design.
- Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
- Advanced written and spoken English proficiency.
- Experience leading or mentoring engineers is preferred.
- Experience with agile development tools such as Jira is preferred.
- Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, infrastructure-as-code, or platform migrations is preferred.
- Familiarity with IoT, hardware integrations, or computer vision systems is preferred.
- Experience building AI-powered features or integrating LLM-based workflows, automation pipelines, or agentic tooling is a preferred qualification.
