Base Salary
$72k - $119k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write and review specifications for moderately complex system components.
- Design, implement, and maintain batch processing components, scheduled jobs, and plugin-based extensions.
- Translate product requirements into software designs and working code.
- Apply unit testing, code reviews, documentation, and code quality practices.
- Fix bugs and resolve technical issues through analysis and debugging.
- Collaborate with product management, quality engineering, and operations stakeholders.
- Stay current with technologies and architectural patterns related to batch processing, data pipelines, and extensible systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience developing production-quality software with one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Java.
- Working knowledge of object-oriented design principles, data structures, and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks, source control systems such as Git, and continuous integration practices.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a development team.
- Preferred: experience with batch processing frameworks, job scheduling systems, workflow orchestration platforms, Pentaho plugin architectures, enterprise-scale or cloud-based systems, data processing, data pipelines, or high-volume transactional systems.
