Base Salary
$128k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, maintainable full-stack software solutions and reusable components.
- Build and modernize user-facing applications with Angular, TypeScript, and component-based front-end architecture.
- Design and support Java/J2EE back-end services, integrations, AWS-based systems, and database solutions.
- Lead technical design for complex features, produce technical documentation, and ensure adherence to IT control policies.
- Analyze system issues and upstream/downstream impacts, diagnose problems across application, data, and cloud boundaries, and recommend broad solutions.
- Collaborate with product, design, QA, DevOps, and back-end engineering partners across multiple projects.
- Promote development, testing, CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum best practices while influencing technical decisions.
- Mentor less experienced engineers through pairing and code reviews.
- Use AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of software development experience and a BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of experience developing modern web applications with Angular, including hands-on experience with Angular 17 or newer.
- Strong proficiency with TypeScript, component-based UI development, reactive programming patterns, and front-end architecture.
- Experience contributing to technical architecture for large, long-lived codebases.
- Experience designing and implementing back-end services with Java and J2EE.
- Experience with AWS, including EC2, SNS, SQS, S3, SES, ECS, and Lambda.
- Experience with MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and MySQL.
- Experience using AI-powered development tools to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
- Expertise in performance, scalability, robustness, resiliency, and software design best practices.
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment and delivering large, complex, cross-functional projects.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, prioritization, and independent working skills.
