Base Salary
$180k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the infrastructure that powers Vercel’s build and deployment lifecycle.
- Design and operate high-performance microservices that process millions of builds daily.
- Lead projects end-to-end, from identifying opportunities to delivering improvements.
- Collaborate across teams to align infrastructure with company-wide goals.
- Shape the long-term vision of CI/CD at Vercel by setting standards for scalability and reliability.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for critical systems.
- Contribute to the open-source community.
- Write clean, efficient, tested, and well-documented code.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience designing, building, and operating backend applications and distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong proficiency with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
- A track record of end-to-end ownership in production environments.
- Skilled at cross-team collaboration and influencing priorities.
- Comfortable setting direction and defining architectural standards.
- Experienced in mentoring and fostering strong engineering practices.
- Curious and eager to learn about modern software development.
