Responsibilities
- Participate in technical discussions and decisions concerning new features and platform evolution.
- Collaborate with product teams to design solutions for stakeholder requirements.
- Deliver deployable features across coding, configuration, documentation, and support.
- Contribute to roadmaps, process development, and architectural evolution.
- Collaborate with QA and product teams to test code and maintain integrated testing environments.
- Lead design and requirements-grooming activities, facilitate cross-team communication, and provide mentorship.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience with server-side development projects and demonstrable team contributions.
- Knowledge of one or more server-side object-oriented programming languages.
- Basic understanding of streaming data, distributed system design, messaging technologies, and messaging patterns.
- Experience with streaming or asynchronous data processing.
- Experience with major cloud providers such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience with web services standards and technologies such as HTTP, JSON, and REST.
- Operational knowledge of Java, Kotlin, Scala, or another JVM language.
- Experience with at least one mainstream distributed system such as Kafka, Spark, Storm, or Cassandra.
- Experience with testing and test-driven development.
- Ability to quickly learn an existing codebase and toolset and explain solutions in technical leadership discussions.
