Responsibilities
- Build and improve backend features for business pricing plans and customer experiences.
- Lead and own projects end to end, from planning and development through release and adoption monitoring.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, data analysts, engineers, designers, and other product teams.
- Participate in quarterly planning and propose ideas to advance the product.
- Apply testing strategies, code reviews, and best coding practices.
- Help improve team culture and processes while communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Java, Kotlin, or another JVM-based language.
- Strong experience with the Spring framework, relational databases, distributed and concurrent systems, and Kafka.
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and broader testing strategies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, customer focus, and product mindset.
- Ability to work independently and take end-to-end ownership of customer problems and projects.
