Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of critical backend and AI code paths.
- Build production LLM-based agents and agentic pipelines for analyzing real-world codebases at scale, including orchestration, tool use, and context engineering.
- Own evaluation-driven development through evaluation harnesses, golden datasets, regression gates, and cost and latency tracking.
- Design robust, multi-tenant cloud environments with tenant isolation, access control, and secure-by-design architecture.
- Drive planning, estimation, delivery commitments, and conversion of designs into clearly owned engineering work.
- Mentor engineers, review designs and code, and establish engineering standards.
- Partner with product, customers, support, sales, leadership, and globally distributed engineering teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of backend or systems engineering experience.
- Strong Python experience and production experience in multi-tenant microservice cloud environments.
- Hands-on production experience building LLM-based agents or agentic pipelines, including orchestration, tool use, context engineering, model selection, and cost and latency optimization at scale.
- Hands-on experience building or owning evaluation harnesses, golden datasets, or benchmark suites for AI systems.
- Track record of owning outcomes end to end from early stage through scale, including learning from failed commitments.
- Security engineering mindset covering tenant isolation, access control, and secure design.
- Technical leadership experience as a tech lead or team lead while remaining hands-on; formal management experience is a plus.
- Independent, execution-focused approach and willingness to build across areas as needed.
- Excellent English for collaboration across time zones.
