Responsibilities
- Align project-specific designs with the application architecture roadmap.
- Support project and product teams with functional and technical design activities.
- Define interactions among application packages, databases, and middleware systems to optimize product functionality.
- Act as a subject matter expert for products requiring application integration.
- Perform application configuration, solution architecture, prototyping, and application or product feature design.
- Support Hadoop cluster management, monitoring, ecosystem tools, scheduling, automation, security, and backend or MapReduce development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and five years of Information Technology experience, or technical certification and/or college courses with seven years of experience, or nine years of Information Technology experience.
- Experience in application and/or product feature design, application configuration, application development platforms or languages, cloud computing, DevOps or deployment and integration tools, integration technologies, iterative/agile/scrum development, and solution architecture.
- Application domain knowledge, prototyping ability, problem-solving and analytical thinking, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred proficiency with Linux/Unix, command-line operations, file systems, process management, shell scripting, Hadoop architecture, cluster management and monitoring, Hadoop ecosystem tools, schedulers, distributed-system hardware and networking, automation, security protocols, and Java, Python, or Scala.
- The role is work-from-home; sponsorship is not available, including for candidates currently on OPT.
