Base Salary
$120k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks.
- Own the regression testing strategy for critical customer-facing workflows.
- Establish load, performance, and reliability testing practices.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and define release quality gates.
- Partner with DevOps on QA environments and automated deployments.
- Use AI tools to accelerate automation development and QA process improvements.
- Work with engineers to enhance feature testability from the start.
- Evaluate and implement testing tools for various testing types.
- Improve bug triage and release-readiness reporting.
- Reduce reliance on manual QA through maintainable automation.
- Mentor engineers on test design and quality best practices.
- Help mature BlastPoint’s QA culture as the organization scales.
Requirements
- 6+ years of QA automation, SDET, or software engineering experience.
- Experience building QA processes and automation frameworks from scratch.
- Strong experience in functional, regression, automated, exploratory, API, integration, and load/performance testing.
- Proficient in programming or scripting languages like Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions.
- Comfortable working with cloud-hosted SaaS systems, preferably AWS.
- Ability to work across frontend, backend, data, API, and infrastructure.
- Strong judgment around test coverage and engineering effort.
- Comfort using AI tools to enhance QA productivity.
- Proven ability to operate independently in a lean or startup environment.
- Strong ownership, communication, and technical judgment skills.
