Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end forward deployments from technical scoping and system design through production rollout in customer web environments.
- Ramp on unfamiliar web applications and debug HTML, DOM, and rendering issues across static, server-rendered, and client-rendered architectures.
- Build and maintain UI automation across desktop and mobile browsers and Chrome/Chromium, Firefox, Safari/WebKit, and Edge.
- Tune prompts, retrieval, and agent configurations in the AI orchestration layer for each customer’s products and workflows.
- Manage authentication and web state, including cookies, sessions, tokens, and local/session storage.
- Serve as the senior technical partner to customer engineering teams by leading discovery, translating needs into deployment plans, and communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Create repeatable deployment playbooks, internal tooling, and documentation.
- Share deployment insights with engineering and product leadership to inform the product roadmap.
Requirements
- Significant hands-on front-end engineering experience building and shipping production web applications.
- Strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS fundamentals, including deep knowledge of HTML elements and the accessibility tree (ARIA).
- Deep expertise in the DOM and browser rendering pipelines across static, server-rendered, and client-rendered applications.
- Production experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, or Svelte.
- Production experience with Playwright, Puppeteer, or Chrome DevTools Protocol.
- Knowledge of authentication and web state, including cookies, sessions, tokens, and local/session storage.
- Working knowledge of AI/LLM systems, prompting, retrieval, and orchestration, plus interest in deploying agents in production.
- Ability to ramp quickly on unfamiliar web applications and work effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving customer environments.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills and comfort leading technical conversations with customer engineering teams.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Preferred experience in forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting at a high-growth AI or developer-facing company.
- Preferred experience building browser extensions or working with the Chrome extension ecosystem.
- Preferred cross-platform automation experience across desktop and mobile browsers.
- Preferred experience with RAG pipelines, agent frameworks, or AI orchestration layers.
- Preferred experience creating playbooks, tooling, or processes that scale a technical function beyond one person.
