Responsibilities
- Design and implement agentic AI architectures for biomedical reasoning, planning, and tool use.
- Develop LLM-based agents that retrieve, rank, and synthesize scientific and biomedical information.
- Build memory and feedback mechanisms that enable agents to refine hypotheses and adapt to evolving data.
- Integrate analysis pipelines, simulation engines, statistical models, and databases into autonomous workflows.
- Architect scalable production-grade systems combining structured and unstructured biomedical data.
- Collaborate with computational biologists, translational scientists, and software engineers to deploy systems in discovery pipelines.
- Evaluate the robustness, reliability, and interpretability of autonomous biomedical AI systems.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computational Biology, Biomedical Informatics, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with large language models, including fine-tuning, alignment, and structured prompting.
- Experience building agent-based systems or complex LLM orchestration frameworks, including multi-agent systems, tool-using LLMs, or planning modules.
- Proficiency in Python and modern machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, and TensorFlow.
- Experience with large-scale biomedical datasets, including genomics, transcriptomics, clinical records, or scientific corpora.
- Preferred experience designing autonomous research assistants or AI systems for multi-step scientific reasoning.
- Preferred familiarity with knowledge graphs, hybrid symbolic-neural systems, or multimodal foundation models.
- Understanding of privacy, security, and regulatory considerations in healthcare AI.
