Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and support developer productivity tools and platforms.
- Develop custom integrations, plug-ins, and automations to improve developer experience and software delivery.
- Manage third-party libraries and software dependencies for build tools.
- Evaluate, configure, optimize, pilot, and recommend development technologies through research and proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Troubleshoot application build failures and extract data from monitoring and development tools for non-technical audiences.
- Establish standards, best practices, and processes that promote consistency, security, and efficiency across the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, compliance, and business teams to drive technology adoption and share guidance.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and perform night and weekend maintenance as needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, developer productivity, build engineering, and/or software tooling support.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline tooling and applications.
- Experience with Gradle build scripts and Java application build processes and configurations.
- Experience administering GitHub, SonarQube, JFrog Artifactory, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience managing dependencies for Gradle, Node.js/NPM, Python, and/or NuGet build tools.
- Present authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring current or future work authorization sponsorship from the company.
- Residence in St. Louis, Missouri, or the immediate surrounding area.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software products.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, cloud-based tooling, scripting, monitoring, Java software development, AWS and cloud-native DevOps practices, DevSecOps and security scanning, software supply chain management, AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Dynatrace, and unit testing.
