Responsibilities
- Develop and scale cloud integrations and observability applications for Grafana Cloud.
- Ship end-to-end features spanning React interfaces, Go backend services, dashboards, alerts, and Jsonnet mixins.
- Own projects from problem definition through production and validate outcomes with users.
- Write design proposals, run demos, and advocate for the team’s roadmap in cross-team discussions.
- Contribute upstream to Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana Alloy.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for owned services.
Requirements
- Experience working across frontend and backend development, particularly with TypeScript and Go or comparable languages.
- Product-focused mindset with the ability to decide what to build based on user problems.
- Fluency with AI-assisted development, coding agents, and LLM tooling.
- Working knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana dashboards, alerting, and production observability systems.
- Strong written communication and ability to work independently in a remote, distributed environment.
- Preferred qualifications include open-source contributions, developer tooling experience, Grafana plugin or dashboard development, telemetry pipeline experience, Jsonnet or configuration-as-code experience, and prior on-call experience.
