Software Engineer, Realtime
CloudflareResponsibilities
- Work with Product Management and customers to understand requirements.
- Design and implement large-scale distributed systems.
- Instrument global realtime services, create dashboards, and analyze data.
- Monitor and tune system performance.
- Research and implement Internet standards.
- Use available tools, including AI, to solve technical problems.
- Participate in on-call support outside standard working hours as needed.
Requirements
- Demonstrate solid computer science and software engineering fundamentals.
- Have experience working with large-scale distributed systems.
- Know a modern systems programming language such as Rust or Go.
- Demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and a desire to collaborate closely with others.
- Bonus: experience with realtime protocols such as WebRTC or MoQ.
- Bonus: experience with streaming media.
- Bonus: relevant personal projects.
