Base Salary
$137k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build large scale, real-time streaming services and applications leveraging massive datasets.
- Own the design and development phases of backend services and APIs for the data platform.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure the right solutions are built.
- Utilize architecture and design experience to develop system components like messaging queues and databases.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in distributed systems.
- Experience with object-oriented programming, particularly in Go.
- Familiarity with at least one cloud provider such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with message queue technologies like AWS Kinesis, Google Pub/Sub, or Kafka.
- Proficient with databases such as BigTable, Cloud Spanner, HBase, or Cassandra.
- Ability to write maintainable, testable code.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to team members.
