Responsibilities
- Gather requirements from customers and internal stakeholders for datacenter power-management systems.
- Define robust, scalable, extensible software architectures and long-term technical direction.
- Architect high-performance, real-time embedded software while balancing engineering trade-offs and practical constraints.
- Select platforms, frameworks, and tools appropriate to system requirements.
- Perform trade-off analyses involving scalability, delivery speed, cost, architecture, and performance.
- Produce software architecture documentation, including block diagrams, data-flow diagrams, and logic diagrams.
- Communicate architecture rationale to engineering teams, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement through modern development methods, tools, and AI adoption.
- Mentor engineers across junior, senior, and staff levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of full-lifecycle software development experience from requirements through product release.
- 10+ years of experience architecting and designing complex embedded software systems.
- Ability to read and understand hardware schematics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience developing software in a multi-developer Agile team using Git branching and merging.
- Experience designing software signal-processing chains and understanding processing-performance and latency trade-offs.
- Familiarity with electrical power-control systems is desirable.
- Familiarity with embedded RTOS such as Zephyr is desirable.
- Experience with embedded security, including data protection, secure boot, and secure communications, is desirable.
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and model development is desirable.
