Responsibilities
- Explore emerging AI technologies and engineering patterns through hands-on experimentation and rapid prototyping.
- Formulate hypotheses, structure experiments, evaluate results against defined criteria, and translate findings into engineering recommendations.
- Contribute to the definition and continuous evolution of the organization-wide AI SDLC.
- Assess AI technologies, model outputs, and industry trends while defining evaluation criteria and identifying failure modes.
- Produce documentation, reusable guidance, and recommendations for delivery teams and leadership.
- Move between research, prototyping, engineering, architecture discussions, consulting, and organizational enablement.
- Collaborate with the delivery-facing AI rollout function and incorporate recurring adoption challenges into the R&D feedback loop.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering and architecture fundamentals, including APIs, distributed systems, testing, delivery practices, and maintainability.
- Hands-on experience with AI agents and agentic workflows.
- Experience with LLM APIs and model integration.
- Practical experience evaluating and testing AI systems.
- Awareness of security, privacy, and responsible AI considerations.
- Experience with CI/CD, software delivery practices, observability, and monitoring.
- An R&D mindset, critical thinking, systems thinking, pragmatism, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience with LLM-based application development, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, tool or function calling, MCP, API design and integration, data pipelines, data management, containers, cloud-native development, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or .NET.
