Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and evolve secure Java and Spring Boot microservices and APIs.
- Build and maintain full-stack applications across Angular user interfaces and Java/Spring Boot backend services.
- Design and implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka or similar messaging technologies.
- Translate business and product requirements into reliable, maintainable technical solutions and contribute to system architecture.
- Integrate services across Angular applications, databases, internal platforms, and third-party systems.
- Apply AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, code reviews, and software quality improvements with human oversight.
- Develop solutions meeting security, performance, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence standards.
- Apply cloud-native practices, 12-factor application principles, and Mastercard engineering governance.
- Participate in code reviews, pull requests, retrospectives, and technical discussions.
- Troubleshoot production and performance issues, improve system reliability, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing enterprise-scale software applications as a Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, or Full-Stack Engineer.
- Extensive experience with Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
- Strong full-stack development experience with Angular and Java/Spring technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or equivalent messaging and event-streaming technologies.
- Understanding of microservice architecture, distributed systems, API design, event-driven systems, and cloud-native development.
- Understanding of cloud architecture principles including scalability, resiliency, reliability, and high availability.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools across coding, refactoring, testing, debugging, documentation, and delivery.
- Strong SQL and database development skills with PostgreSQL or Oracle, including high-volume transactional systems.
- Experience diagnosing and improving application performance, scalability, reliability, and resiliency in production environments.
- Understanding of automated testing, CI/CD, Git-based development, code reviews, observability, and operational readiness.
- Ability to translate complex requirements into secure, testable, maintainable, and supportable solutions.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and make technical decisions with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
