Base Salary
$125k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Help execute WHOOP's vision to build and scale the use of Generative AI across the Core product.
- Develop backend features and services using Java, AWS, and PostgreSQL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical requirements.
- Design abstraction layers for Product and Software teams to leverage Generative AI.
- Deliver high-quality code adhering to best practices in software design.
- Develop and maintain observability and monitoring systems.
- Mentor and support junior engineers.
Requirements
- Experience in backend development on large-scale software systems.
- Experience building applications on Large Language Models.
- Expertise in API design and development, preferably with Java.
- Experience in relational database design and development (SQL).
- Experience with scalable system design and performance optimization.
- Strong independent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to high-quality work.
