Base Salary
$110k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Translate management direction and business requirements into technical plans and personally build production software.
- Define acceptance criteria, architecture, APIs, platform choices, integrations, and technical direction.
- Use Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI coding tools to prototype, develop, evaluate, and ship software.
- Own software delivery, statements of work, milestones, vendor accountability, and course corrections.
- Evaluate third-party development proposals for technical and commercial soundness.
- Define and execute or coordinate test plans and acceptance testing before payment or deployment.
- Maintain technical coherence between software platforms and Panasonic KAIROS, PTZ, and broadcast hardware.
- Apply AI capabilities, security fundamentals, authentication, credential management, API security, and data-handling principles.
- Track project status, surface blockers, and communicate progress and technical tradeoffs to leadership.
Requirements
- 7+ years of building and shipping software, preferably with end-to-end ownership of technical direction.
- Strong software architecture judgment and hands-on ability to prototype and stress-test platform, API, and integration decisions.
- Hands-on experience using LLM APIs such as Claude and GPT-4 and AI coding assistants as a primary development method.
- Experience evaluating third-party development proposals and managing vendors against statements of work and milestones.
- Working knowledge of security fundamentals for networked and SaaS products, including authentication, credential management, API security, and data handling.
- Familiarity with web, desktop, and hardware-integrated software environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with business stakeholders and nontechnical leadership.
- Awareness of standalone licensing, SaaS, and subscription-based software distribution models.
- Preferred experience in AV, broadcast, media technology, or hardware-adjacent software products.
- Preferred experience coordinating with internal engineering teams on final QA or technical review of externally contracted work.
