Responsibilities

  • Review product features and architectures to identify privacy exposures and design mitigations.
  • Audit new products for privacy bugs and evaluate customer data collected by engineering teams.
  • Communicate privacy risks and potential mitigations to senior leadership.
  • Review data collection requests and systems while preserving user privacy.
  • Partner with web browsing and digital payments experts to build privacy-preserving features and technologies, including fraud detection algorithms.

Requirements

  • BSCS or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with cryptography and its use for end-to-end data encryption or user anonymization.
  • Experience with differential privacy or private federated learning.
  • Programming experience.
  • Strong analytical, deductive reasoning, communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn and research new technologies rapidly, assess privacy exposures, analyze system architectures, and solve complex problems independently.
