Responsibilities
- Design and develop cryptographic and secure transport software across Apple’s software stack.
- Contribute to kernel, library, framework, and application-level security technologies.
- Develop pragmatic security methods and technologies for mobile and distributed computing.
- Balance ease of use, performance, and security when solving complex engineering problems.
- Collaborate with security, software, hardware, cloud, marketing, and support teams.
- Influence technical decisions across multiple internal and external organizations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience in systems or operating system development.
- Strong understanding of transport security and standard protocols such as TLS.
- Strong understanding of C, Objective-C, or Swift.
- Industry knowledge of operating system security and applied cryptography.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: experience with transparency technologies such as certificate transparency.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
