Base Salary
$126k - $189k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, code, unit test, and deliver application systems and programs.
- Lead technical solution analysis, system architecture, and implementation strategies.
- Mentor developers and organize design, code, and technical documentation reviews.
- Review existing systems to identify complexity, risks, and implementation challenges.
- Collaborate with clients and project teams to clarify needs, present technical solutions, and communicate progress.
- Ensure engineering standards, required procedures, and operating processes are followed across project modules.
- Contribute to software architecture, development process, and technology improvements.
- Act as a technical advisor or coach to junior team members with limited direct supervision.
Requirements
- At least six years of relevant application development experience.
- At least six years of hands-on experience as a technical team lead.
- Expert hands-on knowledge of Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and the Spring Framework stack.
- Deep understanding of microservices and microservices best practices; Spring Boot microservices experience is highly preferred.
- Hands-on MongoDB experience.
- Experience with Git and Jira.
- Good understanding of OpenShift and Docker.
- Good understanding of Kafka is highly desirable.
- Strong systems analysis, design, architecture, unit testing, and software development lifecycle fundamentals.
- Ability to contribute to high- and low-level system design.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, communication, and successful project implementation skills.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Subject matter expertise in at least one area of application development and ability to adjust priorities quickly.
