Responsibilities
- Evolve enterprise data architecture strategy and align architectural decisions with business priorities.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud-native architectures using GCP and Snowflake.
- Develop and promote enterprise architecture standards, reference architectures, governance models, and best practices across global teams.
- Design and guide implementation of data platforms supporting batch processing, streaming, analytics, AI/ML, and agentic workflows.
- Partner with engineering, product, data science, and business stakeholders to inform roadmap priorities and maintain enterprise alignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent related work or military experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, and cloud solution design.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience building cloud-native data platforms on GCP and/or Snowflake.
- Deep expertise in GCP services and strong Snowflake expertise, including performance tuning and platform administration.
- Advanced SQL and strong Python skills, including PySpark and Pandas, plus API integration experience.
- Experience with event-driven and streaming architectures, data modeling, dbt, data catalog tools, Airflow or Cloud Composer, and GitHub Actions.
- Strong understanding of enterprise data governance and security, including GDPR, CCPA, IAM, encryption/KMS, and policy tags.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Vertex AI, LangChain, Hugging Face, RAG patterns, Pinecone, FAISS, Docker, Kubernetes, testing frameworks, and repository management.
