Responsibilities

Implement and maintain third-party game provider integrations in PHP and Laravel.
Handle game launch, bet, win, rollback, and reconciliation transaction flows.
Design and optimize database schemas and queries.
Investigate provider integration issues and liaise directly with external engineering teams.
Resolve production incidents affecting game availability and player transactions, including on-call participation.
Write and maintain automated tests covering provider edge cases and failure modes.
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives.
Maintain integration documentation and apply secure development and regulatory compliance practices.
Support and mentor junior developers.

At least 3 years of commercial PHP development experience.
Basic working knowledge of Python.
Strong Laravel experience, including Eloquent, queues, the service container, and Artisan tooling.
Experience working with procedural PHP codebases and migrating toward modern framework code.
Practical experience integrating third-party REST APIs, including authentication, retries, timeouts, and inconsistent provider behavior.
Competence with relational database schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
Understanding of transactional integrity, concurrency, and idempotency in financial or wallet-style operations.
Experience with RabbitMQ or a comparable message broker and Redis for caching and pub/sub.
Experience with Git, branching workflows, and automated testing with PHPUnit.
Familiarity with static analysis and style tools including PHPStan, PHPMD, and Laravel Pint.
Experience with Docker and basic familiarity with Kubernetes for local development.
Ability to debug production issues across service boundaries and distinguish internal faults from provider faults.
Clear written and spoken English for correspondence with external provider teams.
Ability to work independently, escalate blockers early, and communicate effectively.
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
