Responsibilities
- Define the long-term architectural vision and technical roadmap for OpenText’s Identity and Access Management platform.
- Lead the transformation of legacy IAM products and services into a cloud-native, microservices-based SaaS platform.
- Architect scalable services for authentication, authorization, federation, identity lifecycle management, policy enforcement, and privileged access.
- Design secure infrastructure for workforce, customer, partner, machine, service-account, workload, and AI-driven identities.
- Apply identity standards and protocols including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM, FIDO2, and WebAuthn.
- Design Zero Trust, adaptive access, risk-based authentication, continuous authorization, identity governance, and policy-based security capabilities.
- Modernize identity stores, directories, data architecture, and policy engines for large-scale governance and high-performance access decisions.
- Establish architectures for multi-tenancy, tenant isolation, compliance, resiliency, observability, disaster recovery, and operational excellence.
- Lead cloud architecture decisions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, product management, customer success, executives, customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Mentor engineering teams and serve as a technical authority on identity architecture, security, and cloud-native design.
- Present architectural strategy, innovation roadmaps, and technical direction to leadership and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise software architecture, distributed systems, or cloud platform engineering.
- Experience designing or architecting IAM, IGA, CIAM, or PAM solutions.
- A proven track record modernizing monolithic enterprise platforms into cloud-native, microservices-based architectures.
- Deep expertise in authentication, authorization, identity federation, access governance, policy-based security, and PKI-based security.
- Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM, FIDO2, and WebAuthn.
- Extensive experience designing multi-tenant SaaS platforms on public cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust architectures, identity-centric security, API security, secrets management, and secure software design.
- Deep experience with Kubernetes, containers, service meshes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern cloud-native application patterns.
- Expertise designing highly available, fault-tolerant systems with disaster recovery and global-scale requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Preferred experience with enterprise IAM, IGA, or PAM platforms and ecosystems such as Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Ping Identity, ForgeRock, SailPoint, and CyberArk.
- Preferred experience with Zero Trust programs, identity threat detection and response, identity security posture management, privileged access security, machine and workload identities, AI agents, and emerging AI identity standards.
- Preferred experience with observability, telemetry, and performance optimization for large-scale distributed identity systems.
