Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and improve scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized software solutions.
- Develop Java applications and RESTful services using Spring Boot, Spring AI, Spring Batch, and microservices architecture.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define requirements and solution strategies.
- Participate in code reviews and promote code quality, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.
- Apply secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
- Implement unit, test-driven, behavior-driven, and automated testing practices.
- Analyze complex technical and business problems and deliver quality solutions.
- Guide team members or lead collaborative assignments where applicable, while managing risk and strengthening controls.
Requirements
- Experience developing with Java and Java-based frameworks including Spring Boot and Spring AI.
- Experience with Java Development Kit versions 17 and 21.
- Knowledge of RESTful web services, Spring Batch, microservices architecture, and microservice design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with SOLID design principles and enterprise container platforms such as OpenShift and AWS.
- Knowledge of modern database technologies such as MongoDB.
- Understanding of Jira and Confluence processes.
- Knowledge of JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber testing frameworks.
- Experience with Git, GitLab, and Gradle for source control, packaging, and builds.
- Knowledge of test-driven development, behavior-driven development, and test automation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of the financial services industry, prototyping, and working directly with stakeholders is valued.
