Responsibilities
- Identify business problems with stakeholders and architect AI-powered systems to address them.
- Design, build, maintain, fine-tune, and deploy autonomous agents, generative workflows, and large language model systems.
- Integrate AI capabilities into new and existing applications with software engineering, product, and infrastructure teams.
- Research and implement current AI technologies, models, and platforms.
- Own MLOps on Google Cloud, including data pipelines, automated model deployment, monitoring, and scalability.
- Design evaluation frameworks to measure the accuracy, latency, and cost of generative AI workflows and agentic systems.
- Communicate AI architectures and performance metrics to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain architecture diagrams, model cards, code documentation, and operational runbooks.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or in a related software engineering role.
- Mastery of Python and core AI/ML libraries, strong SQL experience, and hands-on vector database experience for RAG implementations.
- Experience building, fine-tuning, and deploying production-grade generative AI systems and multi-step agentic workflows.
- Experience with modern agent frameworks, specifically Google's Agent Development Kit or similar toolkits such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
- Strong proficiency in the Google Cloud ecosystem, including direct experience deploying and managing AI solutions using Agent Platform.
- Understanding of production AI challenges including model limitations, scalability, and reliability.
- Experience designing and implementing evaluation frameworks for generative AI workflows and agentic systems.
- Ability to execute work from design through implementation with guidance when needed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with English proficiency at the C1 level.
