Base Salary
$172k - $222k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect extensible and intuitive frameworks for quantum-computing experiments and data analysis.
- Develop calibration software, APIs, data-analysis pipelines, and workflows that support larger quantum devices.
- Optimize experiment and analysis tools for faster throughput.
- Build dashboards for inspecting and controlling quantum-device calibration state.
- Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure for increasingly complex scientific workflows.
- Translate science and software requirements into design proposals and drive implementation through rollout.
- Mentor scientists and contribute to documentation so researchers can participate in the codebase.
- Collaborate with experimental physicists, scientists, engineers, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or a related language.
- PhD or at least 6 years of applied research experience.
- Experience working with scientists in a research environment.
- At least 1 year of experience with calibration for experimental quantum computing.
- Preferred: experience with quantum-control hardware, SQL databases, AWS tools and services, GraphQL, React, machine learning and AI, open-source scientific software, or quantum simulation.
- Candidates must meet applicable U.S. export-control eligibility requirements or be able to obtain a U.S. export license.
