Base Salary
$215k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and own key components of the lending platform infrastructure, including systems and frameworks used to build and ship lending products.
- Partner with lending-vertical engineering teams to understand their needs and build enabling platform capabilities.
- Identify and implement infrastructure improvements that support product development and system reliability.
- Contribute through code reviews, documentation, knowledge sharing, process improvements, and code-quality initiatives.
- Mentor other engineers and help foster a culture of craft and ownership.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a backend engineering role, ideally in a platform or product-focused environment.
- Strong commitment to building high-quality software and solid engineering fundamentals.
- Ability to independently own and drive new platform capabilities from the ground up.
- Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills across Engineering, Product, and Data Science.
- Willingness to work on a small team and contribute to company growth.
- Preferred experience with internal platforms or frameworks, fintech or embedded finance, and systems requiring strong correctness and auditability.
