Base Salary
$142k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize low-latency Smart Order Router microservices and applications.
- Implement complex routing logic, venue analysis models, and performance optimizations for best execution and system stability.
- Lead or participate in technical design discussions and conduct rigorous code reviews.
- Partner with product development, quantitative research, and technology teams to deliver trading capabilities.
- Improve testing frameworks, development tools, and deployment processes for low-latency systems.
- Resolve complex technical challenges involving business requirements, system processes, architecture, data flow, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
- Build and maintain trading-platform monitoring, trade reconciliation, and application recovery solutions.
- Drive compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and technology controls.
Requirements
- Hands-on software development experience focused on high-performance, low-latency systems.
- Expert-level Core Java knowledge, including JVM internals, concurrency, garbage collection, and memory management.
- Proven experience designing and developing automated trading systems, particularly Smart Order Routers in equities or related financial domains.
- Understanding of financial market protocols such as FIX and experience handling order and market datasets.
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience with modern testing frameworks, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD processes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain and understand complex technical and business concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree required.
- Familiarity with Solace, AMPS, Chronicle, and Ansible is preferred.
