Responsibilities
- Own product features end-to-end, from understanding customer problems through design, implementation, release, monitoring, and iteration.
- Design, build, and scale Go backend services that ingest and model AI spend and usage data.
- Build API-first capabilities and TypeScript and React product experiences for analyzing cloud AI costs.
- Understand AI spending economics, including token and model pricing, inference, GPU costs, and usage allocation.
- Use AI tools across code exploration, prototyping, coding, debugging, testing, and documentation.
- Set engineering standards through design reviews, guardrails, engineering practices, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including multi-tenant SaaS products and end-to-end production ownership.
- Strong Go experience building backend services, APIs, and data-processing systems.
- Strong TypeScript and modern React experience with an ability to present data clearly.
- Ability to work across the stack, from data modeling through user interfaces.
- Experience with public cloud, preferably GCP, or AWS or Azure, and SQL against an analytical store such as BigQuery.
- Product-oriented judgment, strong software engineering and architecture knowledge, and the ability to set direction for others.
- Experience using AI tools throughout the engineering workflow and ability to discuss their benefits and limitations.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, plus self-organization, motivation, confidence, thoroughness, and tenacity.
- Knowledge of FinOps and FinOps products is preferred.
- A portfolio of work and a BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience are preferred.
