Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture, design, development, and lifecycle support for embedded software used in power electronics, VFDs, energy-management devices, and higher-level HVAC control systems.
  • Coordinate software developers, security engineers, external specialists, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, maintainable, and extensible software.
  • Conduct architecture and code reviews and define testing, code-quality, build, and CI/CD strategies.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers on MCU/MPU, peripheral-IC, firmware, board-commissioning, and system-integration decisions.
  • Ensure releases meet applicable functional-safety, cybersecurity, coding-standard, and quality requirements.
  • Guide product requirements, technical implementation, product launch, lifecycle support, technology evaluation, and roadmap innovation.
  • Mentor and develop engineers and promote responsible AI use throughout analysis, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of relevant professional software-development experience, preferably focused on architecture and system design.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, communicate, and maintain complex, scalable software architectures using established patterns and modeling languages.
  • Experience developing embedded real-time control systems under memory, performance, peripheral, and timing constraints.
  • Hands-on experience with ARM-based MCUs/MPUs such as STM32 or Renesas RA, as well as DSPs.
  • Strong C/C++ skills for embedded systems and professional experience with toolchains, debuggers, profilers, low-level firmware, interrupt handling, peripheral drivers, and board commissioning.
  • Experience with Git, Make/CMake or comparable build systems, automated testing frameworks, static code analysis, and unit, integration, and system testing.
  • Understanding of functional safety, embedded cybersecurity, relevant coding standards, and software-development process models.
  • Preferably at least three years of experience in a technical leadership role such as architect or comparable senior role.
  • Experience leading design reviews, communicating technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders, and mentoring engineers.
  • Experience with power electronics in industrial or automotive applications, model-based design using Simulink or PLECS, and AI/ML applications in embedded systems is valued.
