Responsibilities
- Analyze release notes, code changes, and application customizations to assess upgrade impact.
- Upgrade Duck Creek Policy client applications and determine low-impact upgrade paths.
- Debug custom code, base code, integrations, and database issues and provide workarounds or solutions.
- Use Duck Creek upgrade and debugging tools, including Trace Monitor and TSV Monitor.
- Identify automation opportunities and develop utilities to improve upgrade and certification efficiency.
- Interact with customers and implementation teams to triage issues and present solutions.
- Collaborate with development, quality assurance, client support, technical leadership, and project management.
- Mentor team members, share knowledge, and communicate issues and risks affecting upgrade schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science is strongly preferred.
- At least 3 years of related industry experience in system development and implementation.
- Proficiency in analysis, development, triage, and Duck Creek Policy implementation.
- Strong understanding of Duck Creek Policy concepts, including Policy Transactions and Policy Forms.
- Hands-on development experience with C#, .NET, SQL Server, XML/XSLT, REST/SOAP APIs, and Duck Creek extensibility/configuration.
- Experience with Duck Creek Policy debugging tools such as Trace Monitor and TSV Monitor.
- Experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, database troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Insurance-domain knowledge, especially P&C insurance software applications, is required or preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting integrations between Duck Creek Policy and external systems.
- Knowledge of TFS, GitHub, and Git workflow is beneficial.
- Experience with Duck Creek Policy upgrades, certifications, customizations, integrations, and compatibility assessment is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
