Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and communicate the technical vision, architecture, and engineering roadmap for Minecraft mobile apps.
- Lead the design and implementation of foundational application systems, development patterns, and customer-facing features while contributing hands-on to the codebase.
- Partner with product, design, and cloud service teams to translate customer needs into end-to-end experiences and durable client-service contracts.
- Provide technical mentorship and raise engineering standards through experimentation, design reviews, code reviews, and quality practices.
- Guide the app through exploration, development, launch, and live operation using telemetry, customer signals, and operational learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree and 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or a bachelor's degree and 12+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with iOS development and shipping consumer mobile applications.
- 4+ years of people management experience is preferred.

- The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $142,800-$274,800 per year; different ranges apply to the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.
