Responsibilities
- Jointly develop IT product roadmaps with engineering teams and product heads and advise on technology choices.
- Design and own end-to-end solution architectures aligned with product requirements, business priorities, and enterprise standards.
- Assess functional and non-functional requirements, define architecture runway and design decisions, and maintain architecture documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
- Provide technical oversight and collaborate with development teams to resolve system-development and support challenges.
- Research emerging technologies, including agentic AI and ML, and lead proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Optimize IT investments, identify cost-saving opportunities, and mitigate security, compliance, technical debt, and obsolescence risks.
- Develop and maintain data models, taxonomies, ontologies, integration pathways, reference architectures, patterns, NFRs, and fitness functions.
- Collaborate with solution, information, and enterprise architects across products and help develop architecture practices and mentor others.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead, including at least 4 years in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience designing business-driven, standards-based solutions across complex or multiple product and solution contexts.
- Experience maintaining architecture visions, roadmaps, and landscapes while assessing impacts on capabilities, risks, and applications.
- Experience with pharma or biotech systems, particularly clinical trial data systems such as EDC, non-CRF data systems, digital health technologies, and clinical data warehouses.
- Experience with ETL/ELT, data warehouses, data lakes or lakehouses, enterprise data integration patterns, relational and object databases, and AWS or other cloud technologies.
- Expert-level knowledge across multiple technology areas and proficiency in conceptual and logical data modeling, taxonomies, ontologies, and integration pathways.
- Ability to define and drive reference architectures, patterns, non-functional requirements, and fitness functions.
- Ability to evaluate technology trends, assess feasibility, conduct vendor assessments, communicate complex concepts, negotiate, and influence stakeholders.
- Preferred knowledge of pharma regulations, including GxP and computer validation.
- Fluent English, flexibility with shifting priorities, and willingness to collaborate during Roche Golden Hours from 4:00 to 7:00 PM CET.
Benefits
- Expected base salary is 228,900.00 PLN to 425,100.00 PLN for the primary Warsaw Grafit location.
- Potential discretionary annual bonus with a target of 20%, subject to individual and company performance.

- Work location is Warsaw or Poznan, with collaboration required during Roche Golden Hours from 4:00 to 7:00 PM CET.
