Responsibilities
- Configure, develop, deploy, monitor, and support SAP BTP Integration Suite integration flows.
- Build, secure, manage, and govern APIs using SAP BTP API Management.
- Design event-driven integrations using SAP Event Mesh and related messaging capabilities.
- Configure connectivity among SAP BTP, SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and external applications.
- Develop BTP extensions, SAP Build applications, workflow automations, business rules, APIs, events, and reusable integration components.
- Perform advanced ABAP development in SAP ECC, including OData services, IDoc extensions, BAPIs, RFCs, proxy objects, web services, BAdIs, user exits, customer exits, enhancement spots, classes, function modules, and reports.
- Lead SAP BTP landscape architecture, integration standards, governance, reference architectures, security, lifecycle management, monitoring, and operational support.
- Define and maintain the roadmap for migrating SAP PI/PO and point-to-point integrations to SAP BTP Integration Suite.
- Support SAP ECC-to-S/4HANA planning, migration, interface conversion, integration testing, cutover, hypercare, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Assess existing integrations and custom developments for retention, remediation, replacement, migration, rebuilding, or retirement.
- Act as the Tier 3 technical lead for complex BTP, SAP ECC, ABAP, integration, API, connectivity, and SAP application issues.
- Mentor developers, integration specialists, and technical team members and review solution designs and implementations.
- Lead and supervise direct reports while coordinating with SAP functional, infrastructure, security, and business teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in SAP Basis, SAP Technical Architecture, or SAP Platform Architecture roles in complex enterprise environments.
- Experience with large-scale SAP implementations, upgrades, and migrations, including S/4HANA greenfield or brownfield projects.
- Deep SAP BTP expertise, especially Integration Suite, Cloud Integration, API Management, and Event Mesh.
- Mastery of ABAP Objects and the SAP Enhancement Framework, including hands-on ECC development.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, ECC, Fiori, Cloud Foundry, Kyma, SAP CAP, and SAP Fiori/UI5.
- Experience with SAP ECC Materials Management and Plant Maintenance modules and their data structures, BAPIs, and enhancement points.
- Experience integrating SAP Ariba through CIG, Managed Gateway, or BTP and integrating other cloud procurement or asset-management solutions.
- Expertise in REST APIs, OData, SOAP, IDocs, RFCs, and message queues.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP in SAP deployments, including Cloud Connector, connectivity, infrastructure design, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of SAP security, Cloud Identity Services, IAS/IPS, Principal Propagation, OAuth, ECC roles, and authorizations.
- Experience with automation and scripting such as Ansible and Python.
- Expertise in SAP sizing, ABAP and iFlow performance tuning, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Familiarity with SAP DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Project Piper, GitHub, and automated testing frameworks.
- Relevant SAP certifications are highly preferred, including SAP Certified Application Associate, SAP Certified Development Associate for SAP BTP Integration Suite, or SAP Certified Development Associate for ABAP.
- Knowledge of TOGAF and familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes are preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills are required.
