Base Salary
$175k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership in designing and developing software and web applications for ad-serving, ad selection, and audience targeting systems.
- Architect and develop scalable, low-latency C++ applications on Linux for high-throughput, high-QPS workloads.
- Design, implement, and optimize distributed services and database systems across relational and NoSQL technologies.
- Use profiling, benchmarking, and tracing tools to diagnose and improve CPU, memory, I/O, throughput, reliability, and latency performance.
- Use Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, AWS services, and observability platforms to support cloud-native applications.
- Support application integration, testing, software updates, release rollouts, documentation, and technical evaluations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and Quality Assurance teams to define requirements and validate application specifications.
- Guide and mentor junior-level engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Seven years of experience developing software for ad technology systems, including ad-serving data indexing engines, ad selection algorithms, and audience targeting pipelines.
- Experience optimizing MySQL, Aurora, Aerospike, DynamoDB, ETCD, Neo4J, and RocksDB databases.
- Experience using sanitizer, perf, and gprof for performance tuning.
- Experience architecting and developing scalable, low-latency C++ applications on Linux and performing end-to-end system design and optimization.
- Five years of experience using Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, ELB, EKS, S3, DynamoDB, and Kinesis.
- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting systems using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Loki.
