Base Salary
$175k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership in designing and developing software and web applications for ad tech systems.
- Architect and develop scalable, low-latency C++ applications on Linux for high-throughput, high-QPS workloads.
- Optimize relational and NoSQL databases through schema design, query optimization, and cache tuning.
- Profile and benchmark systems to diagnose CPU, memory, and I/O performance issues.
- Architect and optimize distributed core services to improve throughput, reliability, and system efficiency.
- Use Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, AWS services, and observability tools to support cloud-native systems.
- Support application development, integration, software updates, and release rollouts.
- Document software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, requirements, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and Quality Assurance teams on product requirements, integration needs, and technical specifications.
- Monitor competitive applications and relevant literature, patents, and industry practices.
- Guide and mentor junior-level engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Seven years of experience developing software for ad tech systems, including ad-serving data indexing engines, ad selection algorithms, and audience targeting pipelines.
- Experience optimizing MySQL, Aurora, Aerospike, DynamoDB, ETCD, Neo4J, and RocksDB databases.
- Experience using sanitizer, perf, and gprof for performance tuning.
- Experience architecting and developing scalable, low-latency C++ applications on Linux.
- Experience performing end-to-end system design and optimization.
- Five years of experience using Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, ELB, EKS, S3, DynamoDB, and Kinesis.
- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting systems with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Loki.
