Base Salary
$99k - $174k/yr
Responsibilities
- Present, demonstrate, and support the sale of Esri software and solutions as part of an account team.
- Build relationships with technical enterprise decision makers and lead technical meetings that drive revenue.
- Serve as a technical leader for Esri technology and a local-government subject matter expert.
- Understand customer business structures, workflows, third-party systems, and integration points.
- Craft and propose GIS solutions aligned with customers’ critical challenges and business needs.
- Define and deliver complex solution strategies for strategic customers.
- Design presentations for technical and non-technical audiences and present at conferences and executive engagements.
- Provide configuration guidance, best practices, and troubleshooting support.
- Coach new team members on technical consulting best practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with Esri technology, including map creation, spatial analysis, and web application configuration.
- At least 3 years of experience in local government.
- Broad ArcGIS IT knowledge covering hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing.
- Experience in technical consulting, conceptual solution design, troubleshooting Esri deployments and system architecture, and integrating software with business systems.
- Knowledge of sales and business development processes, geodatabases, and underlying DBMS technology.
- Knowledge of cloud computing environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Programming and scripting experience with Python and JavaScript.
- Strong presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable.
- Preferred: experience with real-time information streams, digitalization strategies involving mobile, IoT, advanced analytics and data science, AI/ML, and imagery.
- Preferred: master’s degree in geography, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
