Responsibilities
- Develop and support operational software applications for Qualcomm’s Product Security Team.
- Design and operate scalable vulnerability tracking, reporting, and source-code enforcement detection tools.
- Work with technology teams to understand processes and translate requirements into production deliverables.
- Support security workflows and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
- Investigate complex issues through debugging and triage, particularly in vulnerability management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of Security Engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master’s degree plus 1+ year or a PhD.
- At least two years of demonstrated development experience in C#, .NET Core, Python, or Java, with equivalent experience considered.
- Experience with IIS and developing applications that run on web servers.
- Experience developing SQL or stored procedures with Microsoft SQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Administrator or developer experience with Linux operating system variants.
- Strong familiarity with software security concepts and practices.
- Strong debugging and triage skills for complex vulnerability-management issues.
- React JS, ANT, microservices architecture, API gateways, Docker, and Kubernetes experience are pluses.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
