Responsibilities
- Build and maintain user-facing features in React Native mobile apps across iOS and Android.
- Design and implement performant, maintainable, and scalable mobile components and subsystems.
- Partner with product and design teams to scope, implement, and launch features.
- Improve mobile tooling, testing strategies, CI/CD, and performance monitoring.
- Work with backend engineers on mobile-specific APIs and client-server integration patterns.
- Identify and resolve performance and reliability issues in the mobile experience.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning.
- Mentor teammates and support a strong mobile engineering culture focused on continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience, plus four years of experience.
- Experience building applications with React Native and familiarity with at least one native platform, such as Swift or Objective-C for iOS or Kotlin or Java for Android.
- Understanding of mobile performance, memory management, and platform-specific constraints.
- Ability to deliver complex features from planning through release and collaborate effectively with product, design, and backend partners.
- Ability to contribute to engineering practices through code reviews, mentoring, feedback, and collaboration.
- Preferred experience launching or scaling a React Native app on Android.
- Preferred comfort with TypeScript or custom native modules.
- Preferred experience with mobile analytics, push notifications, deep linking, or A/B testing frameworks.
- Preferred experience in a fast-paced product company where mobile is a primary user touchpoint.
