Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java-based web application services and business logic.
- Build integrations with external systems and develop internal components and subsystems.
- Implement new features in collaboration with the business organization.
- Work across the development lifecycle and potentially contribute to frontend development for mobile and desktop devices.
- Read, test, and incrementally modernize a 15-year legacy codebase.
- Collaborate as a communicative member of an agile team comprising developers, QAs, and product owners.
Requirements
- Strong Java skills and approximately 3+ years of previous work experience.
- Experience with web application or service development.
- Knowledge of SQL.
- Ability to get legacy code under test.
- Curiosity, willingness to exchange knowledge, and strong communication skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Experience with Tomcat, Maven, Spring, MongoDB, Guava, Guice, MySQL, Nginx, Linux, Jenkins, Git, Docker, or Kubernetes is advantageous.
