Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Ansible playbooks for consistent server configurations across environments.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and integrate automated testing, deployment, and monitoring with development teams.
- Build, deploy, and manage Docker containerized applications and Kubernetes clusters.
- Manage production servers and Squid proxy servers for availability, performance, security, caching, filtering, and network optimization.
- Monitor server health, participate in on-call rotations, respond to incidents, and drive issues to root cause and permanent fixes.
- Own SLO and SLA targets, improve observability and resilience, and contribute to post-mortems and continuous improvement.
- Partner with software engineering teams and architects to promote shared ownership of production reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.
Requirements
- More than 7 years of hands-on experience in SRE, platform engineering, or DevOps.
- Proven experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and experience managing production servers.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience configuring and managing Squid proxy servers.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as the ELK stack, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Solid understanding of networking, system security, and troubleshooting.
- Preferred experience with CDN traffic and security, Chef or other configuration management tools, SLOs, error budgets, incident response, chaos engineering, Python, Go, Bash, AWS, Azure, GCP, API gateways, service meshes, or internal developer platforms.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and sharing best practices is preferred.
- Advanced English proficiency is stated as the overall language requirement.
