Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the large-scale recommendation platform and support production operations.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform and on-premise environments.
- Automate packaging, deployment, and infrastructure management using CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting to improve platform health and reliability.
- Investigate and resolve complex application, infrastructure, and network issues in production.
- Collaborate with platform teams, software engineers, and data scientists to deploy models and services to production.
- Identify and promote technologies and practices that improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, System Administration, or a related technical field.
- More than 5 years of experience building, deploying, and operating production-grade services.
- Strong experience with Linux systems and shell scripting.
- Experience with automation, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, monitoring, and logging tools.
- More than 3 years of experience with a major cloud platform, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, high-availability architectures, and networking fundamentals.
- Awareness of development practices including pull requests, unit tests, and continuous integration and delivery.
- Business-level English communication skills and the ability to work in an international, distributed team.
- Scripting or development experience in Python, Scala, Java, or Ruby is desired.
- Experience with Spark, Kafka, Couchbase, or Redis is desired.
- GCP Professional Cloud Engineer or equivalent certification, open-source contributions, and interest in data analytics, machine learning, or personalization systems are desired.
